1. Future

This poem is one of the first poems I ever wrote - it's how I saw the end of the universe.

Ten million stars are floating wild,
With shadows on their minds.
While pain, contempt and torture racks
Can't help but make them blind.
The rusted chains of prismed moons
Tread lightly on the path,
With much confusion and illusion,
There is no time to laugh.

For very soon the end will come
Our culture joins the dead.
No more the sands of time will run,
No more our feet will tread.
The future planets depend on us
For we are life to them.
The sordid game of death goes on
From us, and to our friends.

The laurel wreath, to mark the site
Ends floating in the sky.
For that is where all life begins
And where it all must die.
If time for us would start again,
How changed would it become ?
Would we see the prismed moons;
Or in the end - The Sun.

2. Behind the SmileBeanies

Written about someone I once knew......

The tenderness of Summer rain flows softly through the wood,
And life's dark highway moves with fear, anticipating good.
So what is left for me today, with beauty everywhere?
The world has nothing but respect, for your loveliness so fair.

3. Life

A poem in three movements, written when I was about 18 - who knows how true this will be.

Birth

Welcome into this world my friend
A vicious circle from here to the end,
But we're ever so glad that you could attend.
Cigar fo Father, the baby cries,
It's not my fault for all it's lies,
But it could end here when it dies.

The starting gun poised to start the race,
But every time it hits your face,
And so to you it seems all out of place.
It does not help what you've begun,
For someday you will see the sun,
As if you were shot with a blast from a gun.

As time goes on you'd better take care,
Because sensitive eyes are all aware
Of the cosmic rays that form the snare.
You live a bit, die a bit, it's all the same.
Endless computers are mostly to blame
For the yawning urge that fills you again.

Survival

The survival game is just a farce,
You smile and no-one knows you.
The minute hand sweeps the face of the clock,
No clue as yet to show you.

Nuclear fission aborts the sky,
No more the tale of plunder.
You band is playing a different tune,
Amidst the noise and thunder.

Radio receivers, a head full of lies,
Outside, the brink of silence.
The escaping train waits upon the tracks,
The pilot accepts no defiance.

The time to go has come for you,
One pill will end it all.
No more daisy chains upon the grass,
There is no time to stall.

Death

Eternal youth has gone out of the door,
With paranoid games and witches flaw.
Your floating body rotates complete,
While inner visions devoid you of sleep.

Ultra violet, x-ray, gamma too
Are the only signals coming through.
Your haunting spirit yearns for salvation,
To the sound of the people's voice "Jubilation"!

You knew it would happen,
You knew it would end.
You knew under cover,
You knew all your friends.
You took your last pill,
You ate your last meal,
You turned out the light
To give Man a fair deal.

They took you away
From your home town, The Earth.
They gave you a name
And a new day for birth.

This cycle's not ended,
No cycle's complete.
This cycle's not fair
To each person it meets.

So take car my friend
To ignore all the signs.
The end's the beginning,
The beginning of time.
